PLEASE NOTE
When You are in the Gurdwara building in Masons Hill, please cover your head (scarves are provided on the 2nd floor) as an uncovered head is considered disrespectful (Note that Hats and Caps are not to be used to cover your head).
Please take your shoes off and put them in the shoe racks (2nd floor) as shoes are not allowed in the Congregation Hall.
Cigarettes and alcoholic drinks are under no circumstances allowed inside the premises.
Smoking and drinking is strictly prohibited on any part of the premises.
It is forbidden to enter the Gurdwara under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxication.
When inside the Gurdwara premises please be respectful.
Generally men sit on the left and women on the right, cross-legged so that the feet do not point towards the holy Guru Granth Sahib.
Care must be exercised by photographers during service so that the Guru Granth Sahib is faced at all times.
Cash donations into the 'golak' (steel grey box) in front of the Guru Granth Sahib is voluntary. Other voluntary
donations / Parshad / Building Fund can be made in this hall for which a receipt is provided.
Clapping is not allowed inside the Congregation Hall.
When you enter the building in Masons Hill:-
the library and Senior Citizens room is on the right
the lift faces in front view of the normal side entrance
the office reception/booking room is on the ground floor past the corridor
the public phone is next to the office
the langar hall and kitchen area is past the office on the right
the Ladies and Gents toilets are on the 1st floor
the main prayer hall is on the second floor
a smaller prayer hall is on the 3rd floor
A Guide will be there to welcome you on your arrival
Pre-booked visits are welcomed
Free refreshment and food from the Guru's community kitchen is available.
